Ford needed a brand breakthrough as people lost interest in the brand during the past 10 years. What happened? Well, basically people lost interest in the brand because Ford lost interest on their consumers in the first place. It was all about numbers, sales, vehicle nameplates, and a constant monologue of what the brand wanted you to hear from them. That's where the You're First philosophy came in: where all these problems had to be changed, and this ad is the manifesto of this new philosophy.
